Yoga Nidra Meditation and
Daring to Rest™ Yoga Nidra Immersion Program
Marcela Iglesias, Daring to Rest™ facilitator designs restful experiences for healing. Drawing from diverse teachers, yoga and meditation practices, and other gentle exercises for inward exploration, Marcela invites her students into the rich inner journey of rest.
Classes, Memberships, and Workshops
Weekly mindful movement and Yoga Nidra classes and monthly membership offered via House of Women Collective.
Wild Women workshops combine Daring to Rest™ yoga nidra with archetypal storytelling based on the work of Dr. Pinkola Estès, author of Women Who Run With the Wolves. Seasonal offerings incorporate aromatherapy, acupuncture, body work, and other healing modalities in collaboration with local practitioners.
LifeForce™ Yoga Classes
LifeForce Yoga™ supports mood management, including symptoms of depression, anxiety, and chronic stress. Classes integrate sound, breath work, and meditation techniques with movement. The practice is adapted to the student, so each individual can move into a more balanced (sattvic) and positive emotional, mental, and physical state of equanimity and self-awareness. This means we move slowly, assessing with the student each practice and its effect.
Why Yoga for Rest?
While Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice grounded in yoga philosophy, contemporary practitioners and researchers have documented the healing properties of this accessible method of mindful meditation.
Yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is deeply relaxing and restorative. Being well-rested is the first crucial step in relieving symptoms of insomnia, stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and varying forms of trauma including PTSD.
The Daring to Rest™ yoga nidra meditation program is simple and accessible yet it offers profound physical, mental and emotional renewal.
